Emulator now available for most vehicles, (an emulator is needed for some vehicles that can't be re-programmed through the ECU), please enquire to see if its the best solution for your vehicle.

ECU Tech Tune are now able to offer DPF removal for Bosch EDC15, EDC16 and EDC17 ECU`s as well as Siemens SID, PPD and Magnetti MarellI Multijet ECU`s. The DPF will need to be removed from the vehicle and the filter element removed or replaced with a DPF removal pipe.

Better fuel economy on diesel vehicles upto 15 BHP can be produced from the restrictive DPF filter with little effect on emissions.

EGR removal/deletion.

There are many types and designs this is just 1 example.

The purpose of the EGR.

The EGR valve helps your car more efficiently and completely burn fuel by recirculating a portion of your exhaust emmissions and running it through the combustion process again. This results in a more complete burn of the fuel which decreases you car's noxious emissions by prohibiting the release via the exhaust of some harmful gases.

The problem.

The Egr is designed to open and close (normally electronically)  at certain times, but these valves get clogged up with carbon deposits, which can make them fail or even get stuck altogether either open or closed.Symptoms can vary from poor idling speed, knocking, loss of power, engine unresponsive, smoke from the exhaust pipe, and the engine management light coming on.  If not dealt with, this can lead to turbo damage, a very expensive part when compared to the cost of an Egr replacement.

Some theories for failure range from, poor quality electronics used by some manufacturers to the extended service intervals now in place.

For better throttle responce and better performance and fuel economy, blank it, remove it and get it deleted from the electronics.
If you have this done at the same time as a remap there is a nominal fee.
